This picture shows my powerpoint presentation in ICT in Biology. I
presented Crustacean Allergy last July 22, 2013. I had chosen this topic
because I really wanted to know why some people who eat crustacean suffer from
allergic reaction. Then, I found out that it has something to do with the
"MISINFORMED" production of antibodies. An allergen will cause an
allergy when our body thought that a protein that has taken up was an invader.
This will cause an over-production of antibodies (IgE) and these
antibodies will release histamine. Histamine will now cause the itchiness,
stomachache, vomiting and the like. On the other hand, crustaceans are really a
bunch but we have to be conscious with our body. You must know what are you
allergic to. Remember that when allergy is severe it can cause anaphylaxis
which will make your breathing so hard or it will cause death. This information
led me to a better understanding about allergies and I had presented it
successfully! Thanks God!

Mangonbangon River

As a partial fulfillment of the subject SCI_119AL-2 (Ecology), our
class had been instructed by our instructor, Mr. Facundo Rey Ladiao, to make a
research proposal in connection with the condition of Mangonbangon river. The
said river is located near the vicinity of Leyte Normal University. We visited
the place last Friday, July 5, 2013, to make an observation with regards to the
river and to be able to make a proposal with regards to the plight of
Mangonbangon river. The research proposal will be submitted on July 19,
2013. Hope to finish it soon!

It Wasn't Just 5 times!
I read novels but not this kind of reading material. I really have a hard time reading refereed journals since I'm not used to read it. This kind of reading material was first introduced by Sir Ladiao and was just enhanced by Ma'am Rutchelle. Having read Teacher's Understanding of the Nature of Science and Classroom Practice: Factors that Facilitate or Impede the Relationship by Norman G. Lederman was indeed a great reading experience of refereed journal. This was I think the most read journal of mine since I read it wholly not just once but more than 5 times. I was amazed of myself that I made it! I usually read twice or thrice when I found a reading material that's difficult to understand. But this one is kinda' amazing. This talks about the question: Is teacher's understanding about the nature of Science influences classroom practice? And the answer was "NO". Teachers usually tend to understand about how will the student react to the topic. They usually teach the basics of the nature of science so that in that way students will be able to embrace the knowledge brought by Science. This topic really taught me a lot about the nature of Science specifically Theories vs. Laws of Science. Now I know how really they differ from each other.
